As we celebrate Women’s History Month and National Nutrition Month, we honor the remarkable legacies of women who have shaped our world. Today, we spotlight two literary giants who continue to inspire me: Zora Neale Hurston and Toni Morrison.
Zora Neale Hurston

Zora Neale Hurston, renowned for her anthropological and literary contributions, has left an indelible mark on American literature. Did you know she spent time in Colorado's historic Lincoln Hills? Her works, including "Their Eyes Were Watching God," resonate with themes of identity and resilience.
Toni Morrison

Toni Morrison, celebrated for her profound explorations of African American life, received the Nobel Prize in Literature. Her novels, such as "Beloved," challenge and enrich our understanding of history and humanity.
Nutrition Tips for a Healthy Heart
Maintaining heart health is crucial for overall wellness. Here are three tips for incorporating heart-healthy foods into your diet:
1. Omega-3 Fatty Acids: Found in salmon, flaxseeds, and walnuts, omega-3s can help reduce inflammation and support heart health.

Our partners, Urban Adventures, recently visited the Colorado State Capitol as guests of Rep. Naquetta Ricks. They had the honor of reciting the Pledge of Allegiance in the House of Representatives, highlighting our commitment to civic engagement and community leadership.
